Construction Scheduler The Pike Company in Rochester, New York is seeking a team member whose primary function would be to perform all planning and scheduling activities through independent evaluation, selection and application of corporate schedule systems, techniques and procedures. Requirements include a four-year degree; at least three years of experience preparing and updating CPM schedules using Primavera Contractor, P3 and P6; field building construction (or other) experience, including working with subcontractors at the jobsite and preparing requested reports; experience in preparing Baseline schedules for projects from $5M to $80M containing 500 to 2000 activities; and good interpersonal and communication skills. Project Manager (Construction Claims and Dispute Resolution) The Duggan Rhodes Group is seeking a team member to work closely with attorneys, contractors, owners and other experts to prevent or resolve construction disputes. The company draws from expertise in engineering, accounting and construction to fact-find. This career pairs engineering knowledge and analysis skills with a dynamic consulting role. The candidate would be responsible for the direct management of approximately $500,000 in engaged projects, serving as client liaison with direct team supervision. Qualifications include a B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or industry-related major or equivalent construction consulting experience; and a minimum of 3-5 years' construction claims and dispute resolution experience. An MBA, professional registration and/or other advanced degree is highly desired, as is the ability to identify and evaluate cause/effect relationships with claim issues, schedule and damages. Experience with construction project scheduling, job costing and CPM is valued, as are the ability to interpret construction plans, and knowledge of construction industry documents and practices. Working knowledge of MS Office, Primavera P3, SureTrak, and MS Project is also desirable. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 50%. Salary is commensurate with experience. Senior Scheduler in Pittsburgh, PA Crawford Consulting Services is seeking a candidate to perform senior project control services, including scheduling and cost control. This team member is responsible for working with the site project team to monitor and update the project schedule using Primavera P3, P6 or Microsoft Project, including developing work-arounds or schedule recovery plans. A successful candidate would provide site management with information from which manpower, equipment and material forecasts could be prepared. The Senior Scheduler would also develop schedules of values for cost accounting and budget control. He or she would handle information input and coordination with subcontractors to measure progress on a stipulated periodic basis, and develop the baseline schedule using Primavera P3. A successful candidate would ensure timely input and recording of subcontractor progress toward periodic reporting and invoice periods. Primavera Support Wanted at Westinghouse in Monroeville A successful candidate can expect to perform the following duties: Assist in the transition utilization of the AP1000 engineering schedule to a scope management and delivery tool with direct linkage to construction and supply chain requirements to support the new build in China and the U.S. Help focus the engineering work with the Projects Group schedule team, utilizing the "One Project" schedule concept. - Assist in the development, implementation, collection and reporting of Engineering Earned Value Management for reporting to the DOE, NuStart and other customer projects as required.
- Coordinate and track aspects of engineering technical risks.
- Work with engineering personnel to identify schedule inputs, interfaces, reporting and tracking mechanisms for design deliverables.
- Work with NPP Engineering Controls to ensure integration and control of costs, budgets and schedule.
A successful candidate would have a bachelor's degree and be familiar with and/or have experience with P3 and/or P6. Nuclear experience is a plus.
